Would you try this Hubba Bubba gin?

We’ve had hot cross bun gin, chili pepper gin, glittery unicorn gin – it seems there’s no flavour too wacky and out there to be mixed in with our favourite spirit!

The latest brand to push the bar is Sweet Little, offering up a range of sugary liqueurs flavoured to match your favourite childhood sweets. Whilst custard creams, blue ice pops and jammy dodgers all make an appearance, it’s the candy pink Hubba Bubba gin that’s been sparking attention.

Hubba Bubba gum took off in the 80s, and found us all forever blowing bubbles (and popping them all over our face!) If you have fond memories of saving your pocket money to make a selection from the penny sweets lineup, the bright labelling on this heart shaped bottle will be all too familiar. 

Want to make a completely new twist on a martini or daquiri? Mix in this gin - it's pure bubblegum with hints of juniper. The distillers advise that along with sipping it neat, it can also be enjoyed with lemonade, prosecco, or tonic – and a garnish of strawberry and mint will round it off nicely. 

It’s safe to say opinion on this has left gin drinkers everywhere divided, with some calling enough on the weird gin flavours - whilst others are desperate to get their hands on this adult upgrade of their childhood favourite. 

We can see the nostalgic throwback appeal, but at only 18%, we don't think we'll be swapping this out from our favourite craft gin just yet!
