Like all the best things, this exquisitely elegant cocktail is more than just a pretty face

If you’re looking to impress your cocktail party guests, you’ll take their breath away with this stylishly lovely Violet Blossom Sour, a unique take on the classic gin cocktail. Take note: the pretty appearance hides a little kick you might not be expecting!

Here, we’ve used the Artisan violet blossom tonic featured in May ‘19’s Gin of the Month box. Inspired by the flavours of the Aviation, the classic gin cocktail, this delicate floral tonic combines violet blossom, apple blossom and elderflower with just a hint of rosemary and basil.

Add all ingredients except the tonic to a cocktail shaker and dry shake. Add ice, wet shake and strain into a coupette glass. Top with Artisan Violet Blossom Tonic and garnish with an edible flower.
