We are in love with this easy-peasy fresh orange juice and gin cocktail recipe!
We cannot get enough of this amazing orange and gin cocktail recipe from mixology guru Own Williams (@my_cocktail_bible). Created with the amazing team at the In the Welsh Wind Distillery for Craft Gin Clubbers to make with In the Welsh Wind Signature Style Gin, our April 2022 Gin of the Month, this gorgeous orange gin cocktail recipe is oh-so-scrumptious!
A great alternative to a Breakfast Martini, which also mixes gin with orange flavours, this fantastic orange cocktail recipe combines In the Welsh Wind Signature Style Gin with orange liqueur (we recommend Cointreau for this recipe), marmalade, fresh orange juice, homemade ginger syrup and Angostura Bitters.
The result is a cocktail that’s bursting with a delectable symphony of fresh, bitter and sweet orange flavours, all given a zesty lift of ginger and a rich base of spice and juniper from the Bitters and the gin. Yum!
How do you make homemade ginger syrup?
To make ginger syrup at home, all you need is 250ml of simple syrup (available at the Craft Gin Club online shop here) and a piece of fresh ginger root.
Peel and slice your ginger root and add it to a saucepan with your simple syrup. Place on low heat for 15 minutes, without bringing the syrup to a boil. Remove from the heat, leave to cool. Sieve the infused syrup into a sterilised container.
