Limoncello Collins: this cocktail mixes limoncello with gin, strawberry jam and blood orange soda - yum!

What do you get when you mix a measure of limoncello with a glug of gin, a spoonful of strawberry jam and a pour of bubbly blood orange soda water? This fabulous Limoncello Collins!

The Craft Gin Club team are mixing up this vibrant cocktail at the Summer Dreaming Cocktail Masterclass event and we hope you and your gin pals will join us for all the fun. In the meantime, we thought we would give you a little preview right here. We are just too excited about this gin-credible event!

Inspired by Italy’s sun-drenched Amalfi coast and its famed citrus fruit, this infusion of gloriously sweet-tart limoncello, rich juniper-forward gin, effervescent blood orange soda and sweet, fruity strawberry jam is a sprightly concoction that’s bursting with summer delight. Each sip will take you to that sun-kissed Mediterranean paradise, where land meets sea and sky.

Sabatini Gin, a delectably herbaceous Italian London Dry, is the perfect craft gin for this cocktail. Its mix of deep juniper and Italian herb tones is the ideal match for the symphony of citrus and berry flavours in this cocktail.

For the limoncello, it has to be Pellini Limoncello. Made in Rome, using Almafli lemons, it’s a gorgeous expression of Italy’s most famous liqueur.

Any good strawberry jam works well in this recipe, including homemade, but we are sending Summer Dreaming Masterclass ticket holders Tiptree Strawberry Preserve for that high-quality (and utterly scrumptious!) finish.

And, last but not least, we have Fever-Tree Blood Orange Soda Water. This light and fizzy soda is made with oranges sourced from across Southern Italy. It’s brimming with delightfully unique and juicy blood orange flavours!

When all of these cocktail ingredients come together in one glass, you have something truly special and completely quaffable that will transport you to sunnier climes.
