No one wants to go out in this cold, wet month, so here at Craft Gin Club HQ it is our mission to come up with more ways you can enjoy gin in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by friends and family.

Whatever the celebration, this cocktail for a crowd is ideal to unleash warm spirits all round. New friends, old friends, neighbours and family will all adore this generous drink.

Favour your gathering’s palate with this refreshment’s deep flavours of citrus, elderflower, and ale. Then let the smooth Shetland Reel Filska Gin work its magic!

The Reel Ale

Method:

In a large jug, combine the elderflower liqueur and the gin. Then add your grapefruit juice. Grab your cocktail stirrer and mix thoroughly.
Toss in a generous portion of ice and stir until you feel the chill as you grasp the jug. Garnish with wheels of grapefruit.
Before serving, add a healthy splash of IPA to the jug, or – if your guests are feeling brave – leave an open bottle on the table and let them top up their own drinks. Serve on a bar with ice and tumblers.

285ml Shetland Reel Filska Gin
510ml of golden or pink grapefruit
(fresh is best and Pink Grapefruit also works!)
45ml Elderflower Liqueur
1 large bottle India Pale Ale
