This Indian-inspired Mango Martini is the perfect boozy breakfast tipple!
We love a Breakfast Martini here at Craft Gin Club. Full of delectable orange and gin flavours, they are perfect for weekends, birthdays and any other day that you may want to treat yourself with a morning cocktail. This version, invented by our fabulous in-house mixologist Maria Vieira, has been inspired by the delicious chutneys that are synonymous with Indian cuisine.
The mango chutney that Maria uses in this tipple gives it a delicious balance of sweet and savoury flavours, adding a tongue-tingling mix of tropical and sour tones that have us licking our lips with glee!
By combining the chutney with the usual suspects of gin and Cointreau, Maria has created a wonderfully tart, fruity and sweet martini cocktail recipe that every gin lover will adore. Yum!
Mango Breakfast Martini
Ingredients
35ml gin (Slingsby Marmalade Gin is perfect for this recipe!)
15ml Cointreau
15ml lemon juice
10ml simple syrup
½ tsp mango chutney
Orange peel, to garnish
Method
For the simple syrup: Combine 100ml boiling water with 100g sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add your gin, Cointreau, lemon juice, simple syrup and chutney to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a coupe or martini glass. Garnish and serve.
