Three herb-infused gin and tonic suggestions for aromatic summer serves
Along with superior craft gins, tonics and mixers, here at Craft Gin Club we’re equally passionate about delicious nibbles to snack on with your favourite cocktail, which is why we always include a selection of fantastic edible treats in our monthly gin subscription boxes for our members. One such tasty treat is the scrumptious French Rosemary Almonds from Mr Filbert’s, which we sent our Clubbers in the July 2020 Gin of the Month box. By tumbling wonderfully creamy Californian almonds with fragrant French rosemary leaves they have created a beautiful snack that you will not want to share!
Inspired by these fabulous nuts, we’ve come up with the perfect herbaceous gin and tonic suggestion to couple with your snacks, plus a couple of simple but mouthwatering, herb-infused gin cocktails to try if you’re excited to try something new! All the recipes are really easy, and just lovely to sip as you nibble your French Rosemary Almonds on a warm summer evening in the garden.
Rosemary G&T
50ml gin (Amázzoni Gin works particularly well here)
125ml Fentimans Connoisseurs Tonic Water
A sprig of rosemary, to garnish
Lemon slice, to garnish
Add your gin to a glass full of ice. Top up with the tonic water. Stir then garnish. Enjoy!
Alternatively, if you’re feeling a little more adventurous, why not try this elegant Rosemary & Thyme Collins? The recipe calls for you to make your own cimple syrup infused with the subtle, aromatic flavours of these lovely Mediterranean herbs, which in turn enhance the natural botanicals in your gin - and would be perfectly complemented by your French Rosemary Almonds!

And finally, if you’re not mad about tonic or just fancy a change from your usual tipple, take a look at this suggestion for a Rosemary Greyhound, where grapefruit juice takes the place of traditional tonic and is paired with rosemary, gin and simple syrup (plus soda, if you like your drinks with a little added sparkle) for a really refreshing summer cocktail.

Did you know….?
Herbs are a really wonderful garnish for gin, as they can often draw out or complement the gin’s own botanicals. (Find out more about these little power pockets of flavour, including how to pair them with garnishes, in our guide to herbal botanicals.) Try one of these recipes instead of your usual slice of citrus in your next G&T and be amazed at the difference the inclusion of these humble plants makes! Even better, it’s so easy to grow your own herbal gin garnishes! Check out our easy guide here.
