This Eton Mess cocktail is what dreams are made of!
Pudding + gin = heaven! This Eton Mess gin cocktail is as beautiful as it looks and super easy to make. We used the recipe from ‘Kitchen Cocktails’, the brand-new cocktail recipe book created by London Cocktail Club founder JJ, and it is simply delicious! This recipe and all the rest of the amazing cocktails in the book are really easy to make at home, as all the ingredients listed can be found in the kitchen cupboard and at your local supermarket.
Here, we used July 2019’s Gin of the Month, Theodore Pictish Gin, as the damask rose botanical works really well with the strawberries, but any floral-led craft gin will work just as well - so give it a go!
Eton Mess Cocktail
25ml gin
25ml Baileys
1 x egg white
30g strawberry jam
15ml lemon juice
15ml double cream
strawberry to garnish
Put all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker - without ice - and shake vigorously. Add ice and give it another big shake. Double strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a strawberry.
