How is River Test Spiced Rum made?
River Test Spiced Rum is made by The River Test Distillery and was inspired by the distillery's pastoral surroundings.
To make River Test Spiced Rum, the River Test team infuse the finest Caribbean rums with botanical ingredients from the local countryside like meadowsweet, milk thistle, cornflower and red clover, and more exotic spices like cocoa nibs, Szechuan pepper, and allspice.

We wanted to portray a sense of place and stay true to our roots, which is a bit more challenging with a rum. So, we've had to work really hard to put our own twist on it. The result is something very special.

The finished spirit is then bottled in The River Test Distillery's iconic glass bottles, designed to celebrate the Hampshire countryside that surrounds the distillery, especially the River Test, which flows close by.

Where is River Test Spiced Rum made?
River Test Spiced Rum is made in the Hampshire countryside at The River Test Distillery, which is on the banks of the River Test.
What does River Test Spiced Rum taste like?
River Test Spiced Rum has an invitingly soft brown sugar nose, elevated by fragrant hints of citrus. On the palate, warm baking spices come through with meadowsweet, which smooths out the whole experience. The finish is long and deliciously aromatic.
How do you serve River Test Spiced Rum?
We recommend serving River Test Spiced Rum with Brecon Carreg Ginger Ale and garnishing with slices of kumquat. Together, they give you a wonderfully sweet, zesty, and complex sipping experience that's ideal for summer.
