Craft Gin Club's January Rum of the Month: Anne Bonny Spiced Rum
January's Rum of the Month is an adventurous bottling from premium French spirits producer Maison Villevert, and is inspired by the tale of 18th century pirate Anne Bonny.
Serving under John "Calico Jack" Rackham, a famous English pirate of the same era, Anne Bonny is enshrined in legend for her escapades across the Caribbean and has inspired expressions in literature, film and even rum, with this spirit drawing inspiration from her zest for life and inherent sense of adventure.
Utilising an expert blend of rums from La Réunion, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, this expression benefits from a vibrant foundation further enhanced by an age-old French oak maturation process and the addition of natural spices.
On the palate, gourmet aromas of buttery pastry blend seamlessly with creamy vanilla, smooth caramel and praline, resulting in a smooth and complex taste with lively spices that add depth and intrigue to every sip.

In January's Perfect Serve, the subtle vanilla sweetness, warming spices and nutty praline notes of our Rum of the Month pair perfectly with a fiery ginger beer and tropical pineapple. Get the recipe below!
January 2025 Perfect Serve Recipe
Ingredients
- 50ml Anne Bonny Spiced Rum
- 200ml Belvoir Ginger Beer
- Dried pineapple, to garnish
Method
Fill up a highball glass with ice and pour in the rum and mixer. Add the garnish, stir gently to infuse and serve.
Craft Gin Club's January 2025 Cocktail of the Month: Frosted Paradise
On top of the Perfect Serve recipe, Clubbers will also receive the ingredients for our January 2025 Cocktail of the Month – Craft Gin Club’s Frosted Paradise!
Carefully created by our master mixologist, Maria Vieira, this zesty cocktail uses a lower amount of rum so as not to overpower the delicate aroma of lychee in our custom cocktail syrup. The lemonade adds a fresh citrus note that complements the spices in our Rum of the Month. Check out the recipe below!
January 2025 Frosted Paradise Recipe:
Ingredients
- 25ml Anne Bonny Spiced Rum
- 25ml Frosted Paradise Cocktail Syrup
- 100ml Lixir Lemonade
- Lime wedge, to garnish
Method
Add all the ingredients in a glass filled with ice and give a quick stir to combine. Garnish and serve.
