What is Manchester Gin?

Manchester Gin refers to an incredible range of craft gins distilled by The Spirit of Manchester Distillery, including Craft Gin Club’s December 2023 Gin of the Month, Manchester Gin Under The Tree Edition.

Who owns Manchester Gin?

The Spirit of Manchester Distillery was founded and is still owned by husband-and-wife team Seb Heeley and Jen Wiggins.

How is Manchester Gin Under The Tree Edition made?

Manchester Gin Under The Tree Edition is made using a range of botanical ingredients inspired by classic Christmas desserts and flavours, including green apples, dates, cloves and cinnamon.

The full list of Manchester Gin Under The Tree Edition botanicals can be found here: juniper, apple, dates, cinnamon, cloves, almond, coriander seed, lemon peel, orange peel and angelica root.

They then distil their chosen botanicals with a base spirit in their 1000-litre pot still named Wonder Wend.

After the distilling process, they are left with a finished gin that is aromatic, fruity, fun and festive. This spirit is then bottled in a special red glass bottle and labelled with a unique holly-strewn label.

Every Manchester gin, including Manchester Gin Under The Tree Edition, is distilled at The Spirit of Manchester Distillery in the centre of the thriving city of Manchester.

What does Manchester Gin Under The Tree Edition Taste like?

This beautiful Christmas gin is brimming with festive flavours. The nose has a winter citrus zing, with warming hints of pine. The luscious, juniper-forward palate is then a symphony of spice tones and vibrant green apple notes. The finish is long and merry and utterly divine.

How do you serve Manchester Gin Under The Tree Edition?

Manchester Gin Signature

The Spirit of Manchester Distillery’s original edition, this multi-award winning craft gin is distilled using twelve carefully selected botanicals to give it a mouthwatering mix of classic juniper and citrus tones accompanied by deep, earthy dandelion and burdock notes.

It’s a magnificent London dry that is like nothing else in the world. It is not to be missed!

We recommend serving Manchester Gin Signature with a premium Mediterranean or light tonic, garnished with either a slice of fresh pink grapefruit or rosemary and orange peel.

Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused

This is The Spirit of Manchester Distillery’s original “pink gin”. To make it, they take their delicious Signature edition and infuse it with fresh raspberries before, during and after the distillation process.

The result is a full-strength pink gin (40% ABV) that has a sophisticated mix of delicate yet delicious raspberry tones atop a rich base of juniper and the rest of the symphony of flavours associated with Manchester Gin Signature.

It is completely unique and utterly divine, especially when mixed with a premium light tonic, garnished with fresh raspberries and mint.
