This August, we’re very excited to introduce Clubbers to Las Olas – the London-based brand created and run by the bright, entrepreneurial mind that’s on a mission to redefine British rum.
Founder of Las Olas, Samuel Williams, developed a passion for spirits after receiving a bottle of Abuelo Rum for his birthday in 2016. He quickly realised that the spiced rums available in the UK were not only filled with extracts and supplementary sweeteners, they all looked the same and had pigeon-holed spiced rum as a party drink with stereotypical nautical branding.
Sam subsequently set his entrepreneurial mind on a mission – to fill the gap in the British rum market with a premium product using natural ingredients. In 2018, he quit his job and committed everything he had to launching Las Olas. Now, in 2024, it’s safe to say that he’s successfully set a new standard for British rum brands.
Las Olas Premium Spiced Rum has received ample recognition for its fantastic flavour, including a gold award at the World Rum Awards and a silver at the International Wine & Spirits Competition. Not only that, the sleek, sophisticated bottle and timeless branding gives this rum yet another edge over others on the market – a truly premium, appealingly modern look that reflects the standard of the Las Olas liquid.

How is Las Olas Premium Spiced Rum made?
Las Olas Premium Spiced Rum is comprised of a base blend of 70% column-distilled Bajan to 30% pot-distilled Jamaican rum.
Barbados has some of the best rum in the world and Jamaica some of the most characteristic. We wanted our rum to be distinctive, so we knew we had to go with rums from those origins.

Spiced in the UK with 26 ingredients including golden cherries, roasted coffee beans and hand-zested oranges and limes, Las Olas Premium Spiced Rum benefits from a well-rounded blend of botanicals.
What does Las Olas Premium Spiced Rum taste like?
The expert blend of Jamaican and Bajan rum creates a base flavour that offers depth while remaining light and approachable. Bright notes of orange and lime open to juicy golden cherry and sweet vanilla flavours which are rounded off with decadent cacao. This sumptuous recipe achieves a long finish while also allowing the classic rum elements to shine through.
