3 coffee liqueur gin cocktails that AREN'T an espresso martini!
For the budding at-home mioxologist, coffee liqueur is a great choice to begin venturing into cocktails - we love it so much that we sent members a bottle of darkly delicious Conker Cold Brew liqueur in our October 2017 gin of the month box.
The rich, dark liqueur is made from coffee beans and a base alcohol, and sometimes sweetened or flavoured with things like vanilla. An espresso martini is the obvious classic cocktail choice for this bar cart staple, but there’s so much more to experiment with, from boozy bakes to these easy and delicious cocktails!
Turbo G&T
25ml Gin
25ml Coffee liqueur
150ml Classic Indian Tonic
Build your Gin and Tonic in your usual way and then at the end add a 25ml measure of coffee liqueur. If you're clever, you can float the coffee of the top of the drink. Gulp lavishly.
Orange Russian
20ml gin
15ml coffee liqueur
15ml triple sec, or similar orange liqueur
50ml cream
Fill a rocks glass (or small tumbler) with ice - the larger the cubes, the better. Add all your ingredients and stir until combined. Garnish with a fresh slice of orange and serve immediately.
Cold Brew Negroni
25ml Gin
25ml Coffee liqueur
25ml Suze Aperitif
Fill an Old Fashioned glass with ice and combine all ingredients. Stir for between 10 and 15 seconds, to combine and allow for some dilution. Garnish with a wheel of orange.
