Created by Brass Lion Distillery, the amazing team behind our August 2021 Gin of the Month, Brass Lion Singapore Dry Gin, this is a unique Gimlet recipe that takes that classic gin cocktail to the next level.
The traditional Gimlet recipe simply mixes gin with lime juice and a touch of simple syrup. Here, Brass Lion has used sweeter Calamansi limes and Grapefruit Bitters to give the cocktail a delectably complex flavour profile. The simple syrup then rounds everything out beautifully!
With its own medley of Singaporean citrus, floral and spice notes, Brass Lion Singapore Dry Gin is the perfect gin to use in this fantastic cocktail.
Calamansi Gimlet
What is Calamansi lime? Calamansi is a citrus fruit native to East and Southeast Asia. With golden-yellow flesh and a sweeter flavour profile to the limes you may be used to, it makes for a soft, more complex Gimlet when used in this cocktail recipe.
45ml Brass Lion Singapore Dry Gin
15ml Calamansi lime juice
15ml Simple Syrup
2 dashes of Grapefruit Bitters (available online)
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker and shake till cold. Fine strain into a coupe glass and enjoy.
