Ever since we first sent Bibite Polara Spuma in our May 2020 Gin of the Month box, it has been a favourite of Craft Gin Clubbers old and new. From the sun-kissed isle of Sicily, it has a fabulous amber-hue and is bursting with complex herb, rhubarb, orange and caramel notes that go so well with gin, especially in our May 2020 Cocktail of the Month, Craft Gin Club’s Race Car.

With Bibite Polara’s wider range of delicious beverages now hitting our fabulous online shop, we’ve been inspired by their incredible flavours to create some absolutely sumptuous cocktails for you to try.

Each one of these serves is such a treat for the taste buds that we know you’ll be hooked. We can’t wait for you to give each one of them a try.

Lemon & Ginger Mule
Made with Bibite Polara Lemon & Ginger

Zesty, fiery and fragrant in all the right places, this Mule recipe is a vibrant tipple that’s bright and utterly delicious. The Bibite Polara Lemon & Ginger is what really makes this cocktail so quaffable. Made with Sicilian lemons and ginger, it works so well with mint and the rich, juniper notes of a good London Dry Gin.

Lemon & Ginger Mule cocktail recipe

Ingredients

50ml gin
10ml lemon juice
1 tsp Simple Syrup
6 mint leaves
2 slices of ginger
A sprig of mint, to garnish
Lemon wedge, to garnish

Method

Add the gin, lime, Simple Syrup, ginger slices and mint leaves to a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a Highball glass (or in a copper mug if you have one) with plenty of ice and top with Bibite Polara Lemon & Ginger. Garnish with the sprig of mint and a slice of lemon.

Orange Gin Paloma
Made with Bibite Polara Aranciata

A Paloma is a cocktail traditionally made with tequila, fresh citrus juice, grapefruit soda and a salt rim to contrast those wonderful sweet flavours. We stuck with that mouth-watering simplicity and balance of salty and sweet for our version, however, we’ve swapped the tequila for gin and the grapefruit juice of Bibite Polara Aranciata, a flavour-packed orange juice made with glorious Sicilian Oranges. The Orange Bitters then add a unique complexity that takes this cocktail to the next level. Clean and fruity, few cocktails are as quick to make or as refreshing.

Orange Gin Paloma gin cocktail recipe

50ml gin
Bibite Polara Aranciata, to top up
2 dashes Angostura Orange Bitters
Salt, to rim the glass

Method

Rim the edge of a Highball glass with salt and fill it with ice. Add your gin and bitters and then top up with the BibitePolara Aranciata, giving a quick stir to combine. Add a slice of orange to garnish. Enjoy!

Pomegranate & Basil Smash
Made with Bibite Polara Pomegranate

This Smash cocktail recipe is herbaceous, fruity, refreshing and aromatic. The combination of rich pomegranate with fragrant basil is one that can work anywhere, but here, with gin, it is particularly delightful. A lip-smacking mix of sweet and tart notes, Bibite Polara Pomegranate is the perfect partner to gin, basil and lime in this stunning tipple.

Chinotto & Mint
Made with Bibite Polara Chinotto

Simple yet divine, this cocktail marries the bittersweet citrus notes of Bibite Polara Chinotto with the rich, juniper-forward palate of London Dry Gin. They are then both enhanced by a little acidity from the lime cordial. The mint is the perfect garnish to add a fresh herbal aroma to the final cocktail and the orange peel will recall and fortify the citrus oils of the chinotto - which is an orange-like Italian fruit.

Chinotto & Mint gin cocktail recipe

Ingredients

45ml gin
15ml lime cordial
Bibite Polara Chinotto, to top
A sprig of mint, to garnish
Orange twist, to garnish

Method

Add all the ingredients in a Highball glass with ice and give a quick stir to combine. Garnish with a twist of an orange peel and a sprig of mint.

Blood Orange Spritz
Made with Bibite Polara Blood Orange

This aperitif-style drink combines London Dry Gin with aromatic white vermouth and Bibite Polara Blood Orange. The prosecco then adds a wonderfully acidic, wine taste and lots of gin-credible bubbles. Yum!
