Ryan Reynolds now owns a gin company

You may know him from The Proposal, Deadpool or the Hugo Boss advert, but Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds has now turned his attention to gin!

He recently tweeted that he is the new owner of Aviation Gin...

After tasting Aviation for the first time a year ago, Reynolds claimed that 'it's the best damn gin on the planet.' While most celebs, like George Clooney, David Beckham and P Diddy favour vodka and whiskey in their ventures, this is the first A-list celebrity to invest in a gin company.

What do you think gin fans? Should we send him a Craft Gin Club box and convince him there are plenty more amazing craft gins out there to try?

We've sent him an email for comment but surprisingly enough got this automated reply - 

"Thank you for your email and interest in Aviation American Gin! I’m away from my desk at the moment but will respond the moment they give me a desk.

About a year ago, I tried Aviation for the first time. Since that day, I’ve spent my time finding some way to infiltrate the company. I did this for one simple reason:  It’s the best damn gin on the planet. Period.

My responsibilities here at the company are vast. I’ll spend my days being photographed intermittently clinching my jaw muscles while pointing at things and nodding. I’ll drink Aviation Gin. I’ll sit in board meetings, imagining my very own Red Wedding.

I don’t know whose idea it was to allow me into the gin business, but I can assure you, there are smarter, more reasonable people in charge.

Sounds like he may not be taking a very hands-on role at Aviation... We can't really imagine him rolling his sleeves up to steep the botanicals or applying the bottle labels by hand, like many of the distillers we work with anyway! 

However, we would like to welcome Ryan to the wonderful world of gin and wish him success in his new role!
