Be prepared for squeals of joy up and down the country this week, as our new Gin of the Month arrives on the doorsteps of gin fans around the UK!
This month we're especially excited as this is a gin that is not yet available to buy on these shores, so we've had to import it specially ourselves, just so our Members could try it!
Windspiel Gin has travelled all the way from the Volcanic Eifel region in the west of Germany to be our May Gin of the Month. Distilled in the Volcanic Eifel region in the west of Germany. Created using a very special potato-based spirit, its a beautifully balanced and wonderfully smooth spirit that we're sure our Members are going to love.
We'll be bringing lots more about Windspiel throughout the month, but for now, here's the lowdown on this fabulous gin - and how to enjoy it at its best in a perfect G&T. Prost!
Windspiel Premium Dry Gin
Distilled in Germany's Volcanic Eifel region
London Dry Gin, 47% ABV
Botanicals
Juniper, lemon peel, coriander, ginger, cinnamon, lavender (plus some secrets)
Tasting Notes
Windspiel Gin has a floral and fruity aroma. In the mouth, its texture is very smooth – even creamy. The flavour is well-balanced and sophisticated, with woody and herbal tones that combine with a pronounced juniper note, as befits a London Dry. There is a refreshing citrus element to round off the taste.
The Perfect G&T
40ml Windspiel Premium Dry Gin
Windspiel Tonic Water
Put all ingredients together with ice in a highball glass and garnish with orange zest.
