The autumn leaves have arrived in all their gold and scarlet glory, while the chilly winds and darker evenings have us reaching for our warm gin cocktails, cosy sweaters and comforting bakes. So, to celebrate the wonderful fruits of the season, we’ve selected ten of the finest craft gins that encapsulate the best of autumn. Well, what other gin could we start our list of ‘best gins for autumn’ with, really?! Created by the team behind our August 2020 Gin of the Month at Dunnet Bay Distillery in Scotland, this ‘Autumn’ edition really captures the flavours of the season, using a mix of traditional botanicals and botanicals the distillers have grown in their on-site geodome. Each sip of this fabulous gin is bursting with autumnal berry flavours and a delectable touch of spice. Delicious!

Another British gin from the Yorkshire-based distillers behind one of our Gins of the Month! Here, the team at Whitby Distillery have combined the fruity, sweet flavours of fresh blackberry with the delicate, herbaceous tones of bay leaf to produce a warming, ruby-red gin that’s full of jam-like flavours and rich tones of juniper, citrus and spice. It’s a delectably well-balanced tipple from the nose to the finish!

Perfect G&T: Serve with a premium elderflower tonic water and garnish with a sprig of fresh basil and a slice of fresh lime.

A previous - and incredibly popular - Discovery Gin for Craft Gin Club members, the Apple Crumble Edition from English craft distillers Three Wrens captures all the delicious flavours of our favourite comfort pudding in a glass! Distilled with real apples, oats, Demerara sugar and cinnamon, layered over a proper ginny backbone of juniper, this unique hand-crafted spirit will change the way you think about flavoured gins forever!

Perfect G&T: Premium tonic with apple slices to garnish.

Craft Gin Club members fell in love so quickly with the limited-edition Tarquin's Rosemary & Thyme Limited Edition Gin when we sent it to them as the Gin of the Month back in 2016 that it wasn’t too long before we took the rare move of working with Southwestern Distillery once again, this time for to create the fabulous Gin of the Month for our Christmas box in December 2018!

So we’re thrilled to be stocking this autumnal spirit from the multi-award-winning Cornish distillery on our shop. Showcasing the rich and fruity flavour of 100% British blackberries, supported by a classic gin backbone of juniper, and mellowed by a touch of honey, it’s a lip-smacking delight.

Perfect G&T: Pair with a citrus-led tonic or premium lemonade, garnish with fresh blackberries and mint or a sprig of thyme and a slice of lemon.

Although it’s billed as a summery gin, when we think of apples and pears, we think of autumn, when these juicy British fruits are at their delicious best. This recipe combines juniper, apple juice, pear juice and fresh elderflower for a refreshing gin and tonic full of flavour.

Perfect G&T: Serve with Mediterranean tonic water and garnish with a slice of apple or pear. Tip: spritz a little lemon juice on the garnish to stop it from going brown!

Created by one of Australia’s finest craft distilleries, this delicious and utterly unique gin is made from a mix of Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin and Shiraz grapes from the Yarra Valley. A tantalizing combination of warming spice, deep red wine, plump berries and clean juniper and citrus notes, this tasty tipple is just the ticket to keep you cosy on a dark autumn evening. (Does it still count as an autumn gin if it’s springtime Down Under? We say yes!)

Perfect G&T: This gin is wonderful with a premium citrus-forward tonic water but it will also shine in dark gin cocktails like a negroni when garnished with orange peel.

This ruby-red gin is a glorious burst of berry and fruit flavours that sing of autumn hedgerows. A unique base of grape alcohol and clearest natural Sussex mineral water have been distilled with quality botanicals including plump British blackberries to make this a delectably smooth tipple.

Perfect G&T: As the name suggests, this gin is perfect for one of our favourite autumn cocktails, the Bramble. It’s also great in a simple G&T with a light tonic water and some blackberries to garnish.

Created exclusive for Craft Gin Club members as our Gin of the Month in March 2019, this smooth, aromatic spirit is bright with the scents and flavours of juniper, orchard-fresh russet apple and fresh, aromatic English sage. What’s more, it’s not only delicious but proceeds from every bottle also support The One Foundation’s mission to create universal access to clean and safe water. Just the gesture of goodwill we all need right now!

Perfect G&T: Classic tonic with lemon slices, or apple slices and sage leaves. 

Distilled with pears and blackberries, this sweet and fruity gin is bursting with the joyous flavours of Britain’s abundant orchards and hedgerows, balanced by the addition of warming spices. It’s an autumnal delight that can be enjoyed all year long!
